Boatman Bob Chapter 1

Boatman Bob

"What a lovely day!" SpongeBob proclaimed as he walked out of his house. "Hey SpongeBob, where ya goin'?" Asked patrick. "off to boating school" Replied SpongeBob. and off he went.

On his way to boating school, SpongeBob passed Emily, a girl who had recently got her license in Mr. Gill's class. "Need a ride lame-o?!" she yelled as she zoomed by in her new boat. "No thanks I prefer walking" SpongeBob replied, and continued on his way.

When he finally got to school, he was greeted with a not so hardy "Hello SpongeBob" from his instructor, Mrs. Puff, yet he couldn't be happier, today was his driving test.

"I'm ready for my test again, Mrs. Puff" He exclaimed. "Good SpongeBob" she said as she wrote "Test Try 321" at the top of a grading sheet, "Get in the boat".

"Ok SpongeBob, start the boat" Mrs. Puff Gulped and held her breath.

Within 2 seconds, the yellow sponge turned the key and revved the engine. You could almost hear Mrs. Puff thinking, please just no injuries! And with that SpongeBob was off.

The strait away was no problem, then came the turn. "Please Neptune PLEASE" Mrs. Puff whispered, and closed her eyes. After a few second, she thought it would be ok to look again, the turn was behind them, and the fork in the road was ahead.

"Which way, which way" SpongeBob said.

"Just choose one, and don't crash into the lighthouse in the middle again" Mrs. Puff replied, and again closed her eyes.

She felt a gust of wind as the sponge jerked the car toward the left lane and then nothing.

"You actually passed that one" she thought, "maybe he'll pass the whole test"

Just as her thought predicted he did pass. Turns and bridges seemed no problem for the sponge.

"Well, that's odd and I cant believe I'm saying this but… here's you license SpongeBob" she hesitantly handed the overjoyed sponge his license.

"Today, I am a man!" SpongeBob yelled, and he ran strait home to tell Patrick.
